happy new year

We spent New Years weekend in Kankakee, IL (and Chicago) with our dear friend, Andy Waddell.  We had a lovely time even though the temperatures got to about -10 and the wind burned our faces at times!  Here is a picture as we are leaving Andy's driveway.  The sun was so bright coming off the snow that we couldn't help but squint!


I am so excited about having a weekend at home to nest and paint and organize!!  Eeeee!!!!  Finally!!  Sorry, but there may be little socializing this weekend for me.  ha!
